Instructions for Installing the Evaluation Copy of SmartButler®

  1. Go to JAYBEE’s website at www.jaybee.com.
  2. Point to the Menu and click on “Downloads”. Click on SmartButler® Full Version (SB520.zip)
  3. Because you will require a login and password to be able to download the SmartButler® Evaluation Copy, you will be presented with a page giving you two options. The left hand option should be chosen if you already have the login and password in your possession. Clicking on the right hand option will take you to a Contact page that will allow you to be in touch with JAYBEE to obtain the login and password. Once you have received this this, go back to step 1 and retrace your steps. This time select the “I have the login and password” option when you see it. Complete the login and Password.
  4. When presented with the File Download screen, select the “Save” option. Save the file SB520.zip into a temporary folder on one of your local disks.
  5. Once the file has been saved, go to the folder and open SB520.zip with WinZip. Double click on the SETUP.EXE file from the list of files displayed. Please use the default options during installation.
  6. When the installation is complete, open SmartButler® on your workstation. This can be done easily from the “Smiley Face” icon on your desktop. You will have an unregistered evaluation copy of SmartButler®. This copy is fully functional except for a limit on the number of service requests that can be opened to 40, and a pop-up message that appears whilst working with the Log Book.
