New version includes new SMS Java
application and PMS interface to OnQ.
JAYBEE Systems, the developer
of SmartButler® Guest Service Centre, is delighted to announce the
release of a new version of SmartButler® - version 5.10x.
Version 5.10 contains many new features and capabilities. SmartMobile, one of the highlights of the new version, is a Java
application that enables you to easily update an event ticket's
status on your mobile phone.
A new PMS interface has been developed
and authorised - now, SmartButler®
can interface with Fidelio, Opera and OnQ. JAYBEE has also developed a new SMS interface that gives you
easy access to a list of all runners and escalators on call at
the present time and enables you to alter their Active status.
Significant improvements
have been made to provide greater system stability and security. You can ensure that
users periodically change their passwords by defining every
how many days, users are required to change their passwords. New logoff option
enables you to lock your workstation and prevent unauthorized
tampering, without needing to close
SmartButler® entirely.
JAYBEE has responded to customer requests for
increased flexibility in several areas, including user password
length and duration of login screen display.
Mr. Joseph Ron, JAYBEE's Managing Director, explains that
the new features in SmartButler® 5.10 are
designed to allow customer hotels to deal with guest requests with
maximum efficiency in a maximally user friendly system. "By making
it easier for employees to use SmartButler®, whether by
eliminating the need to remember status codes when sending SMSs, or
by enabling employees to use the same password in SmartButler®
as in other systems they work in, we have caused employees not only
to work more efficiently, but to enthusiastically embrace the new
system."
The upgrade process can
be done remotely by JAYBEE. Prior to installing the new version,
all 2007 records must be moved to history. Beginning November
1st, users can call the JAYBEE office to perform the upgrade.
Beginning February 1st
2009, JAYBEE will only provide support for version 5.10x. For more
