JAYBEE Systems, the developer
of the hotel Guest Service Centre Software - SmartButler®, has
announced the development of an external SMS server.
SmartButler® is now capable of
a two-way communication thanks to the implementation of an
external SMS server that is independent of an internet
connection. The new technology connects SmartButler® to a regular
handset that receives and sends all messages for the Guest
Service Centre.
Some of the benefits offered
by this feature include the use of a simple, inexpensive hand
set instead of costly and complicated equipment. In addition,
no new infrastructure is required to utilize this kind of
server. The most important benefit is that a two-way
communication is possible between the GSC and the departments.
It is possible for a representative of a department to edit or
close event tickets, view status of a call and retrieve
information from Fidelio Property Management System.
Following the first
installation of this new feature, Mr. Joseph Ron, Managing
Director of JAYBEE Systems said that "Our customers can now work
with greater stability and flexibility and with very simple
infrastructure".
The new feature is available
to all existing customers of SmartButler® with valid Support and
Maintenance Agreements.
