New version includes a
built-in interface to Micros System.
JAYBEE Systems, the developer
of SmartButler® LogBook Guest Service Centre, is
delighted to announce the release of a new version of SmartButler® - version 5.30x. The new version contains a number
of new features and also significant changes to the reporting
capabilities of SmartButler® LogBook. This version will also be
the last one that can be used on a non-SQL platform.
SmartButler® now comes with an embedded interface to
MICROS 9700 HMS allowing information to flow to SmartButler®
LogBook about room service orders entered into MICROS. This
allows SmartButler® LogBook to automatically open room service
call tickets. The report engine has also been changed to allow
reports to be easily printed in local language (for those
customers who have defined this) in addition to English.
Additional new features and improvements include:
Improvements made to the PMS to include more validation
checks, interface fields and triggers.
"Server Time" option has been implemented to allow all the
clock times on all SmartButler® workstations to be
synchronized with the SmartButler® server. This ensures
absolute coordination of the countdown clock, and the receipt and sending of
messages.
The user interface for SmartButler® FeedBack has been significantly improved. Some of the improvements include the fact that questionnaire questions can now be longer, and navigating around the screen has been made a great deal easier.
A new logic which allows the calculation of ticket close times on the basis of business working hours and days instead of actual time elapsed. The business working hours and days are defined by each customer according to his practices.
Windows 7 compatibility approved (SQL version only).
Mr. Joseph Ron, JAYBEE's Managing Director, said that the new
features in SmartButler® 5.30x are to bring more stability as well as
increased functionality and features. He added that the version also
represents an important milestone in SmartButler®'s migration to an
SQL platform. "While we continue our commitment to provide a stable
solution and solid support to our loyal customers, we have done our
utmost to be to as creative as possible and to make use of the
latest technologies to add to the system's capabilities. We look
forward to migrating our customers to the SQL version in order to
give access to the numerous benefits which are added by the SQL
platform ," he said.
Customers are
requested to migrate their SmartButler® platform to one which will
support SQL as soon as possible. The technical requirements for the
SQL server can be found using the following
link. Please note that
support for the non-SQL Version 5.30x will be provided until 31
DECEMBER 2011 only. After this date, we will only support SQL
versions of SmartButler®.
The upgrade process can be undertaken with remote support from
JAYBEE’s support team. Prior to installing the new version, all
2010 records must be moved to history. Beginning December 13th,
users can call the JAYBEE office to schedule an upgrade.
Beginning February 1st
2011, JAYBEE will only provide support for version 5.30x. For more
